You need a computer of course. I use a 17 inch laptop which has a 1920 x 1200 display and this works well. For smaller laptops, I recommend having an external monitor which is at least 19 inches and at least 1680 x 1050 pixels. I have used other lower resolution monitors but they don't work as well. With smaller displays (15 inch and under) really the best mode of viewing is "Fit Width" but then you are scrolling a lot.
On a grand piano, you can either push back the music desk and rest the back of the laptop on it or take off the music desk and put the laptop on the harp of the piano. For myself, I use an external monitor with the base taken off. Sometimes
You also need the program. You can purchase the program with an installer from this web site or you can download the source code and make it all yourself. You will then need to install some other programs and also python. For $20.00 plus shipping I am making the program available with the installer to save this effort.
I recommend a foot switch although in a pinch I have used the space bar to turn pages. It's not as nice though. Recommendations for the foot switch are here. |
